You create the atmosphere. We know that children pick up our emotions even when we don’t realize we are expressing them. We will never forget if our own parents made us feel invisible and/or defeated or that they made us feel like we could accomplish anything we put our minds to. Be the parent that makes your children feel that they are important, their opinions matter, they are smart, they are worthy, and they are loved. If children feel heard and respected, they will perform above their own expectations and yours.
